Kodachrome Basin State Park is more than 3, feet lower than Bryce Canyon National Park and can be a good option for camping when temperatures are cool. The lower elevation here means warmer temperatures, particularly at night. This scenic little park, with dramatic stone spires in vibrant orange and cream colors, is well worth exploring in its own right. Drive time to Bryce Canyon National Park is about 35 minutes.
Kodachrome has two campgrounds. Basin Campground is the larger of the two, with standard and full hookup sites. This is the most scenic of the two, set close to spires and hills. Near the entrance to the park is a more primitive campground for tents. In total, the park has 48 sites, 15 with full hookups and one group site. Although a couple of standard and full hookup sites are first-come, first-served, the rest of the individual sites are reservable, and due to the popularity of this park, it’s best to book a site in advance.

To find military facilities we use www. Some people swear by it, I don’t use it. It’s about the best deal out there and well worth your consideration. We no longer have a membership to Passport America because we don’t use a lot of commercial campgrounds. If you do, we recommend Passport America highly. If you pull in to one of these free locations, drop the jacks, pull out the slides, extend the awning and disconnect the dinghy, you are a certifiable jerk and are spoiling it for the rest of us who use the opportunity.
If you disagree with this, do yourself a favor and do not email me to argue the point, it will only make you a bigger jerk. And if you open up and dump your black tank into a public drainage system I will do my best to get you put in jail for a very long time. When we started fulltiming I was not yet old enough for the National Park Service’s Golden Age Passport so I had been paying full price at federal facilities.
It comes in a number of varieties including an age related card and an “access” card. They are essentially the same as the Golden Passports which are no longer available but which will continue to be honored. You can only get them from a facility that honors them National Park, National Forest, National monuments, etc. Corps of Engineers honors them but does not sell them.

The CampLite trailers are built almost entirely of aluminum, and may be a usable option for people with MCS, but it will likely take years to offgas a new trailer. There are also a number of pitfalls to be aware of. CampLite, travel trailer, MCS, multiple chemical sensitivity, less toxic, housing The problem with trailers The fundamental problem with trailers is that they must be light and small enough to be movable.
Most non-toxic materials weigh too much to be used in a trailer. Also, the small space makes even low-offgassing items more troublesome than they would be in the much larger airspace of a house. Finding a non-toxic camping trailer is a particularly difficult problem for people with multiple chemical sensitivity. Trailers are generally built with wooden studs, sheets of pressboard, carpets, vinyl and other noxious components. It may take ten years to offgas a new trailer, and by then it is usually falling apart, has a leaky roof and plumbing and is contaminated with mold, fragrances, etc.
It is very rare to find a used, usable camper. Another option is to strip a toxic trailer to the walls, so only the outer walls, studs and floor is left.

How to Find Parking for Your Tiny House on March 18, You love the idea of living in a tiny house so you can have a maintenance free lifestyle with super low expenses. I do too, but where are you going to park it? After all, your house is tiny so you might as well be pretty close to the places you like to go to. Those are my beliefs anyway and I am sure you have your own. Finding your space to build and park If you are buying your house ready made you really only have to worry about one spot which is where you are going to park it and live in it.
Lots of times this might be the same place. Renting land or bartering with business owners is a great way to find a solution. A profitable tiny house situation I think that the smartest solution is buying a house where you can park your tiny house in the yard. Then you rent the big house while you live in your little one. If you can do this you might find yourself in a position where you make a monthly profit from your living situation.
When you are trying build and live in your own tiny house you are going to face criticism. You are also going to inspire many as you build. The most important thing you can do is keep a good attitude, ask the right questions to the right people and listen to your instincts. Avoid arguing about laws and instead focus on what you can get away with in your current situation.
