You can go used, in which case it really depends on what’s out there for sale: Amps, receivers, AVR’s all would be fine. As long as you’re not expecting ear bleeding loudness, this should be a good little amp to get. It’s single RCA inputs, so for you you’d use your 3. When you use this method, when you first hook everything up, turn the volume all the way down on both the amp and on the sub, also set the crossover on the sub to Hz. Once you’ve done that, turn up the volume on the amp until the speakers are playing as a reasonable level. Next slowly turn up the sub until it matches the speakers to your liking.

Dec 04, · Hey guys I just bought a pair of Klipsch KF floor speakers for my ‘home theater’ setup. Basically it is just them for now and a receiver. There are two .
Mid-Fi at its finest. Klipsch The Sixes Speaker Review. That system is amazing, and rocks the house down. It can do so with grace, ease or all out grunt and force and remain composed while doing so. Many nights…yes, many nights I had a concert in my home thanks to those Gold Phantoms. For many though, those are overkill and too expensive. Well, here you go. The Klipsch Sixes are one potential solution.

So, while I was at work, my wife needed a power outlet, so she unplugged my Klipsch 4. Long story short- wasn’t muted, so when she plugged it back it- speakers no worky no more. These aren’t the best speakers, but for casual computer music and gaming use, they’re great and I’ve had them for a pretty long time. So I opened up the subwoofer to get to the amp and saw that there were two resistors that had some problems: My Photos are now added at the end of the post, below They give you a good idea of what has happened though.

Dec 27, · These are amazing speakers for the money, so here’s a detailed video showing how to set up your speakers properly!:D
Well there’s a idea that was blown out of the water! LOL I am currently using the Klipsch for the rear surround, along with two Klipsch flush mount ceiling speakers for the rear also. I just wanted to try and get more out of the 2 channel stereo. When I listen to music, not watching movies, I like to listen to it in 2 channel stereo. That’s why I thought I would try the stacking method. Or would that be the only way to do it. Since my Yamaha claims to push watts per channel the wattage is still hitting the speakers.
Not like my old Sansui DB which push’s per channel. It’s 2 channel stereo. And of course I’ve been thinking about upgrading. Don’t stack at all. If you want better two channel sound, CV definitely isn’t going to get you very far in terms of sound quality. You’d probably be better off with the Klipsch Heresy for your two channel listening.

September 28, Grant Clauser 17 Comments This is a question we receive all the time, and one I bring up myself whenever I speak to people at Sonos? Where are the Sonos outdoor speakers? At the moment there are none. Other companies have outdoor music solutions.
Dec 08, · do i need to get the gold plated, top of line? i want the best quality sound output possible, so is standard cable ok or should i upgrade? also, does anyone have experience with this hookup? does tv sound good over the Klipsch Promedia ? and is it durable enough to be running alot with alot of running of the tv?
I do consider Infinity at the top or near top of my list. I absolutly love the brand. They may not always be the most powerful but they are some of the best sounding to me. Klipsh I know makes some very high end stuff. Our local Best Buy has a Xbox hooked up to a klispch system. Unfortunelty they have the bass powered subwoofer cranked up so high you couldn’t hear the other speakers. I do know Best Buy considers them there best system, which is why they use it as there demo.
They had 2 Klipsch Towers, 1 Powered Sub massive beast at that , and I think there were surrounds but i couldn’t hear them. Well I’m not much help am I. I would say that if your looking for the Best, Klipsch is probably it. From what i heard of it, Klipshch slams pretty hard. Don’t get me wrong, I love Infinity for there clearity. But I think the Klipsch would be just as clear but a whole lot more powerful. Your best bet is to listen.

Everyone else has probably heard or owned a Klipsch speaker. Before the Klipschorn still in production since , most people listened to their records through a variation of the Victrola. Anyway, as far as brands and what-not go, I’m not overly familiar with who sounds the best I know this is also subjective as well , but in my experience with computer speaker based systems, I’ve dealt with many brands, of which the top 2, in my opinion, were Altec Lansing older systems and Klipsch before they started dropping their computer setups. I currently have a Klipsch Promedia 5.
I’m sure many others would disagree with my choice, but in my opinion, these speakers sound better than any others I have ever heard, so I see no reason to fully replace them. Anyway, long story short, I’ve had these speakers for almost 10 years pretty much since they were first released and hadn’t had any trouble until within the last year when the sub started to go out randomly. The issue is in the power supply’s one daughter-board which I’ve had repaired, but apparently other parts also began showing signs of wear as well as; not only does the sub work only when it wants, but the satellites now “hiss” as well.
My thoughts were to modify the sub by removing the circuit boards and building a custom faceplate for the back of the woofer-box that simply connect the sub speakers to either an amp on the new faceplate, or directly to the receiver if there is one capable of powering the speakers without an external amp I’m assuming this sort of receiver exists, but like I said, I’m not familiar with them.
The receiver would then need to be able to connect to a computer and other devices via 3. Can anyone give me any suggestions of the best options I have to get this system up and running again on all 5. I’ve seen amp replacement suggestions elsewhere, but the ones suggested appeared to either convert to faux 5. Any help is much appreciated!
Klipsch R-12SW Review – A Cut Above
In this regard, the Reference Premiere line is no exception. The already visually compelling series is presented as a completely new development, which is positioned directly above the Reference MkII series. Klipsch have had a long tradition of being different. Klipsch, who founded the company in , was considered a bit of a mad genius by the industry, and during his lifetime he registered no less than 18 patents. His best known ‘invention’ is undoubtedly the Klipschorn, a horn loudspeaker that is placed in the corners of a room and is renowned for its thrilling performance.
But the special thing about the Klipschorn is not only how it works – the walls and floors, and therefore almost the entire listening room, functions as a sound board – but the fact that it has remained almost unchanged for the past 69 years.
Klipsch surround sound speakers can literally put you at the center of the action. Whether you simply want to expand your room to a system or you want to move to 7 channels or even more, Klipsch surround sound speakers are designed to match your existing Klipsch speakers so that everything sounds seamless.
Page 1 Page 2 The Klipsch R SW is one of the few subwoofers I’ve seen from a mainstream speaker company that’s built with the market realities of the Internet era in mind. It used to be, subwoofers were an afterthought for mainstream speaker companies. They could toss practically any old sub onto the market, safe in the knowledge that if someone bought Brand X speaker system, the dealer would probably talk them into adding a Brand X subwoofer.
Now there are fewer dealers, and more audio gear is purchased online. If online purchasers search around a bit, they’ll find subwoofer specialists such as Hsu Research, Power Sound Audio, and SVS whose subs often outperform those of the mainstream speaker companies yet usually cost less. And with the unforgiving CEA subwoofer output measurement being used by more manufacturers and reviewers, substandard subs have nowhere to hide.
Technically, it’s standard stuff: It’s worth noting that I found the R SW available through several Internet outlets with free shipping. The R SW can definitely compete in price. Let’s find out if it can compete in sound. The Hookup I started with the R SW in my listening room’s “subwoofer sweet spot,” the place I’ve found that most subs sound smoothest against the wall under my projection screen, between my center and front right speakers.
Note that this positioning prescription is particular to my room and my chosen seating position. You’ll have to find your own sub sweet spot.
